Purpose: This drill teaches the players to move into the 'gap' after making a pass against a zone.
Procedure: Two lines at the top as shown. #1 and #4 pass to their respective coach (C) or fellow player. #1 and #4 curl either down or to the top. #1's coach passes the ball back to #1 and #4's coach passes back to #4. #1 and #4 each take the shot. Coaching Points: Players should work at making good passes, faking a step one way and curling the opposite way, and also getting ready for the pass back so they can shoot quickly. |
