1) Play 1
The following diagrams are for 2 different plays that can be used at an end of game situation when there are just a few seconds left. If there is enough time left, as well as a time-out available to you, sometimes you will be better served if you can run a play from a sidecourt out of bounds situation rather than having to go the full length of the court. The idea is to pass the ball to the midcourt area and immediately call a time-out. Of course, as you will see, there are also other options available if the first option is negated.
The play in this diagram begins when the official hands the ball to player O4. At this time O3 goes deep on the fly. O2 breaks to the elbow. O1 starts to mid-court then loops around O5. O4 looks first at O3, then for O1 on the sideline. O2 is the last passing option. O1 makes catch and calls timeout.

2) Play 2
When the official hands the ball to O4, O3 and O5 go deep on the fly. O2 breaks to the the elbow. O1 crosses the court to the ballside sideline. O4 looks to O3 or O5 initially, then for O1 on the sideline. O2 is the last passing option. O1 calls timeout.
